His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman said that the Kingdom is working according to a clear program to increase the demand for oil away from traditional methods.
He explained that the program is based on searching for new ways to use oil and gas, and it will gradually be implemented through an executive office that will soon start, "We will extract oil to the last carbon molecule," he added.
On the delay of electric cars and their stations in Saudi Arabia, Abdulaziz bin Salman said on the sidelines of the Misk Global Youth Forum in Riyadh yesterday, that the Kingdom has not been late in the project, as it is working according to a clear program aimed at providing transportation for citizens at cheap prices.
"We have not been late and have not progressed in the project ... We work according to a clear programme. Gasoline and cars dependent on it are still the best, least expensive and problematic. The most important thing is to provide citizens with the cheapest and least expensive means of transportation, whether in terms of purchase, maintenance and operation."
The activities of the Misk Global Forum were launched yesterday with the attendance of about five thousand people and the participation of 140 leading and pioneering personalities representing more than 120 countries around the world. The forum, organized by the Initiatives Center at the Mohamed Bin Salman Charitable Foundation, "Misk Charitable Foundation'', seeks to explore new trends and ongoing transformations in the world of business, contributing to enabling youth to adapt to changes and transformations of job, and to build skills for the future economy.
Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, in his speech during the opening session of the forum entitled "Creating Tomorrow and Future Jobs", considered that the idea of one specialization without studying other aspects of life is not enough, calling for learning and research in different fields.
Addressing the youth in the session in which Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Group CEO and Managing Director of Mubadala Investment Company in the United Arab Emirates, and Patrick Pouyanne, Chairman and CEO of Total France, participated, he said: “Do not be content with one major; Because by this you put yourselves in a closed box. Be aware of the importance of seeking knowledge and the plurality of disciplines as possible”.
Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman confirmed that the Kingdom has thousands of Saudi male and female engineers competing, indicating that they are devoted to technology and support them to achieve their dreams.
"We are proud of our country, we have nothing to be ashamed of or hide from the world. We are proud of our youth who are mature enough to research and think."
Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman talked about his 37-year experience, "Team work in my university days was the secret of my success, as a person cannot work alone except in rare cases. Work is a collective manner, and success is also a collective."
"The university is an incubator for all people, as it contains cultural and knowledge diversity, where students of all nationalities meet," the Minister of Energy added.
Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman said: "We will not fail our grandparents and parents, and we are proud to serve the country, which provided us with all possible matters of education, training and motivation."
He stressed the importance of youth training, while advising youth that they should have the spirit of initiative and learning, starting with reading history, engineering matters, and other sciences, affirming the need for young people to feel intellectual property because they will obtain recognition that enables them to be creative. He is referring to work from home or anywhere, considering that the important thing is not to disrupt or delay work.
He urged to support, train and educate the workforce and make them adapt to changes, noting the importance of attracting young people, exploiting their energies and exchanging ideas with them, indicating that if they are presented with a sense of ownership of their ideas, they will succeed and make progress in societies in the future.
The Minister of Energy stated that the Kingdom supports the recruitment of jobs through several programs, in addition to seeking to improve competencies by working with sectors in the Kingdom and abroad.
Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman sent a message to youth and women in the Kingdom, urging them to support the goals of the Vision, achieve success for the Kingdom, while the Managing Director of Mubadala Investment Company in the Emirates stressed the importance of technology in changing the future, indicating that countries are working to ensure the provision of the right opportunities for young people and their leadership towards the future and achieving Success for communities.
Mr. Al-Mubark urged young people to embrace technology and focus on being open to the sector in which they work, as well as working on innovation and testing their outputs, indicating that the future holds great opportunities for this generation and the next generation.
Patrick Pouyanne said: “Energy is an essential sector, through which many things are met, praising Saudi Arabia’s efforts to attract talent to contribute to developing technology and benefiting from it, indicating that Total supports this to build global energy technology.
Pouyanne called on youth to realize their aspirations by listening to others, as well as using their talents to build the world of tomorrow, indicating that technology will support the labor market in the future by creating jobs.
