His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Energy, met in Riyadh today with His Excellency the Kuwaiti Minister of Oil, Dr. Mohamed Abdullatif Al-Faris, who is visiting the Kingdom. The two ministers discussed ways to enhance cooperation in various energy fields.
His Highness the Minister of Energy reviewed with his Kuwaiti counterpart the positive developments that were reflected in the cooperation between the two countries, more than a year after they signed the annexed agreement to two partition agreements for the divided zone and the submerged zone adjacent to the divided zone between the two countries, and the memorandum of understanding related to the procedures for resuming petroleum production on both sides, which embodied the distinguished relationship between the two brotherly countries, and push it towards achieving the common interests of both sides.
The two ministers also discussed the next steps aimed at consolidating the success achieved in implementing the agreement and the memorandum, moving them towards achieving more of what is in the interest of the two countries and their peoples.
They also discussed the oil market conditions, joint cooperation between the two countries to support and maintain market stability, and their active role within the OPEC+ agreement that led to an acceleration of the rebalancing of the global oil market.
The two ministers concluded their meeting by stressing the importance of joint action and continuing consultations between the two countries to preserve the gains that have been achieved, and to achieve more of them.
