Minister of Energy: Changes Initiated by HRH Crown Prince Create Real Impact

Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz underscored the important role of change makers as he addressed the fourth annual Saudi Media Forum on Wednesday.
The minister emphasized that influencers need change makers, noting that the transformative initiatives led by His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, have made a significant impact on the Kingdom.
"The concept of change makers in the Kingdom has evolved into a more comprehensive one," the energy minister remarked during a fireside chat at the forum, moderated by Minister of Media Salman Al-Dossary.
"Change makers now have leadership that fosters transformation. Those driving change are also the ones who benefit from it. Therefore, we must continuously remind ourselves that each and every one of us is a change maker," he added.
Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman highlighted that media content has become accessible to influencers through Vision 2030 initiatives, reinforcing the message that "the Kingdom welcomes the world." He noted that Saudi Arabia actively engages the global community through major programs and events, such as hosting Expo 2030 and the 2034 FIFA World Cup, while also creating opportunities for participation in sectors including tourism, economy, media, trade, and investment.
The minister shared his experiences with media engagement during challenging times, including the attack on Aramco facilities, which required him to address the media despite the challenging circumstances and economic and psychological impacts.
He reaffirmed his commitment to sharing his experiences with officials and employees at the Ministry of Energy, helping them develop the skills needed to navigate similar challenges in the future.
Discussing his recent engagements, the minister emphasized that some events required his presence to enhance their outcomes. He expressed particular enthusiasm for participating in conferences organized by the Misk Foundation, citing their educational value and drawing on his background as a lecturer at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals.
Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman also spoke about his participation in the Future Minerals Forum, highlighting the evolving concept of energy security. He noted that the definition of energy security now extends beyond the stability of oil and petroleum exports from the Middle East to encompass natural resources and renewable energy.
He stressed the importance of participating in such events and forums, as the messages they convey have a profound impact.
The minister emphasized the need for a holistic understanding of energy. Reflecting on his experience in oil markets, he stated that grasping the concept of energy requires a broad, interdisciplinary perspective. "The energy sector cannot be understood through a single book or discipline," he affirmed, "A true expert must possess knowledge across diverse fields and remain aware of its ever-evolving nature."
