Saudi Arabia Hosts IPHE Steering Committee Week

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Ministry of Energy, is hosting the International Partnership for Hydrogen and Fuel Cells in the Economy (IPHE) Steering Committee Week in Riyadh from 23 to 26 November 2025, including the 44th meeting of the IPHE Steering Committee.

Member countries reviewed progress on national plans and projects and received detailed updates from IPHE technical working groups covering hydrogen environmental impact assessments, certification mechanisms, trade rules, and other technical workstreams under IPHE’s mandate.

The program also featured an Education and Outreach session that brought together academics, researchers, and experts for panel discussions on innovation and scientific research in clean hydrogen. Additionally, a roundtable with local and international companies across the hydrogen sector further explored the latest developments, challenges, and opportunities to scale up the clean hydrogen economy.

The week’s program will conclude with a field visit to the NEOM Green Hydrogen Project, the world’s largest green hydrogen facility currently under development, where participating delegates will review construction progress and key project milestones.
